Ping

The Ping page provides a ping function within the graphical Web interface. Ping allows you to send ICMP echo request messages to see if they are returned back. This allows you to test connectivity to another IP address directly from the router.
Address: Here, specify the domain name or IP address you wish to ping.

Ping Count: Here, enter the number of ICMP echo request packets you wish to send to the address.

Packet Size: Here, enter the size (in bytes) of the extra data portion of each ICMP ping packet you wish to send to the address. Larger values can be useful for discovering issues with throughput or the MTU (maximum transmission unit) accepted by the network.
